Cynthia Salinas is an award-winning producer of news, documentary, series and specials. As an independent professional she successfully built her own production company, Public Pool Productions.
In 2013 Salinas joined NBC Peacock Productions as a supervising producer for MORE All My Children and MORE One Life to Live. Talk shows that launched in conjunction with the reboot of the popular soaps on HULU.
In 2012 Salinas led a new unit within CBS Eye Productions producing network work quality media for corporate clients. The project included overseeing the broadcast of the documentary-style productions on location while working under intense deadlines to update the programs daily.
In 2011, she began working with NBC Universal, NBC NextMedia. Salinas successfully led one of the largest productions the unit had ever undertaken. As part of the production, she worked directly with over 40+ corporate clients concurrently.
Her television career began with CNN producing hundreds of live daily broadcasts including covering historical news events. During her tenure she also launched CNN Quickcast, the networks first streamed newscast.
Salinas launched her own production company, Public Pool Productions, LLC, in 2005 after winning a major contract with the U.S. Army to program a private military channel, create original programs, and foster a sustainable operation that could be run by the civilian personnel she trained. Salinas dramatically increased the standard of production and created the No. 1 Army wide news program.
Salinas has also been a reality series producer for shows featured on The Speed Channel, The Weather Channel and Discovery’s Military Channel.
Her works have been honored with three Emmy Awards, an Edward R. Murrow Award, a DuPont-Columbia Award and several Keith L. Ware Awards.
